This has been a very loose week in AP lit. Everybody is behind in their blogs and pow's and everything, and so today, we took class time to catch everybody up. It is super helpful; because everything is just building, and building, and building the pressure is increasing. All of my classes are bringing the heat, and we are starting to feel it. I enjoy not having to write a POW this week, even though I thought that the poem this week was pretty easy to relate to. It was one of the most real world poems that we have had all year, because bullying and being overweight are real world issues. I like how AP lit is designed for real world application, instead of arbitrary textual scripts, that have notta zilch zero connection to us, and life. What's the point of reading and learning about stuff that isn't even relate-able, how much outdated information that we are forced to learn, that is really just wasted space in our brains. And so, I am thankful that this is a more real world class.
All of these blogs, and essays, and projects and so on; they will all be super helpful in the future. When I arrive to college, I feel that i will have an advantage on many other students because I write so much. I feel that I have dramatically improved my ability to respond to a prompt, and write a quality essay on it, thanks in part to AP lit.
